We were featured in the Zangersheide magazine as first time breeders. Absolute honor!
When Annabelle was born, we immediately registered her at Zangersheide Studbook. Us being pratically neighbours to Zangersheide, and having bred with a Zangersheide stallion it was a logical choice. So when we got the call inviting us to share our story in an interview, we didn't hesitate!
In the feature, we talk about how our passion for horses began, and what led us to select Ansingh de Lis as the perfect match for our beloved mare Odette. Owning a foal had always been a dream, but with auction prices soaring past €10,000 for a somewhat “promising” youngster, we knew we had to trust our instincts. Alana believed wholeheartedly in Odette’s potential and her exceptional character—and that belief gave us the courage to take the leap.
What we never imagined was seeing Annabelle and her surrogate mom Jade gracing a full two-page spread as the cover story of the Zangersheide magazine. It’s a moment we’ll treasure forever—a celebration of a dream realized, and the beginning of Annabelle’s journey in the world of sporthorses.
