Valeir van Boonenbos succesful at Alken championship
Valeir van Boonenbos was yet again putting a smile on all our faces, not just because he looked amazing all clipped and groomed but also because he jumped like a pro!
When we describe Valeir van Boonenbos we always say he is a "0-jumper" because he's so often without any pole down. He behaves so well, we often forget he is only 4.5 years old.
In Alken he started of really well, immediately getting in good pace with sharp turns. The indoor Arena in Alken is relatively small, so while you can't get your speed in the straights it is essential to make short turns, and turning short he did! He got placed for the finals on tuesday, where we could not participate due to being abroad and so had to give up our spot. But what an amazing weekend it was once again!
The images below highlight what we like so much about Valeir, next to his attitude. He has a great jumping technique, opening his hind quickly as well as pulling up his front to avoid getting any poles down.
